Fighting Corrosion & Extending System Life (FP20435)

$35.00
Course Description:
  • Constructing a fire protection system (FPS) for a facility is challenging for both designer and installer. It requires vast knowledge and understanding of the different types of fire suppression systems required and how to effectively integrate them into the building, fire alarm panel, and building management systems (BMS).
  • Corrosion threatens the reliability of automatic fire sprinklers. This course investigates FPS corrosion challenges by exploring what happens to sprinkler piping due to corrosion and revealing innovative solutions that can minimize corrosion within the system while extending its lifespan
  • This course will provide insights on the effectiveness of Nitrogen and offer examples on how to integrate it into a FPS.
Learning Objectives:
  • Learn the fundamentals of corrosion within a fire sprinkler system.
  • Explore the corrosion challenges a system may face and evaluate the available options to mitigate deterioration within.
  • Discuss how and why Nitrogen is applied into a FPS and gain insight into its effectiveness.
  • Examine alternative uses for Nitrogen System integration.
