Foam-water fire suppression systems have typically been grouped in the “special hazards” category for years. Truth is, they are not so “special” anymore. The popularity of foam-water systems has increased significantly over the last several years due to technological advancements in robotics for high-piled storage, parking garages, and battery-related occupancies. Foam is not just for ignitable liquids anymore. The seminar will focus on the major design features and requirements for foam systems and the basics of how to perform hydraulic calculations for these types of systems.
