This presentation examines how to determine the need for a fire pump along with choosing the proper pump capacity. The presentation will include discussions on pressure generation, rated flow and pressure adjustments, and verification of maximum churn pressure. At the conclusion of the presentation, attendees will be able to properly size and select a fire pump assembly based on the system demand and available water supply.
