Updates and Challenges in Parking Structures (FP-21019)

There are many concerns with the fire safety of alternative fuel vehicles, along with general changes in automobiles that have sparked updates to codes and standards in recent years. This presentation will review the studies that have been done on the modern vehicle as well as highlight the challenges in modern parking garages. The newest changes in the current edition of NFPA 88A and related codes & standards will be reviewed as well as possible upcoming changes for the next edition. Learning Objectives:
