Field Sprinkler Testing Statistics and ITM in NFPA 25

For decades, UL Solutions has examined and tested sprinklers sampled from field installations in accordance with NFPA 25. The related historical requirements described in the NFPA standards as well as a statistical analysis of UL Solutions test data associated with their field sprinkler testing program will be discussed during this session. In addition, the requirements for the ITM of sprinklers included in the current edition of NFPA 25, as well as the proposed requirements for the new 2026 edition of the standard, will be discussed. As sprinkler technologies have advanced over the years, ITM requirements have been revised. Upon completion of this seminar, attendees will be able to: Identify the testing and acceptance criteria for the operational testing of sprinklers sampled from field installations. Locate the inspection, testing and maintenance requirements for sprinklers as described in NFPA 25. Compare the operating performance characteristics of sprinklers based upon sprinkler type, age, and condition.
