This session will explain functions and situations when a building may require a dedicated function sprinkler monitoring system because it is below the threshold that would require a building fire alarm system. Most model codes require sprinklers to be electronically supervised and this session will help explain what is required and what would be connected to the dedicated function system. We will also review when the monitoring requirements take effect. We will also review the changes in the IBC that require electronic supervision of many valves.
